General Data Protection Regulation
On May 25th, 2018 entered into application the new legislative rule Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the Free Movement of such Data (GDPR).
The GDPR aims to reform the EU’s personal data protection, which will increase confidence in the digital market and consumer legal certainty in the processing of personal data.
The National Security Authority is based on the GDPR and in accordance with Act no. 18/2018 Z. z. on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments to Certain Acts, is obliged to designate a responsible person who fulfills the tasks of a contact point for the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, the internal environment of the Office and the public.
